Recession Foccacia 1
Looking for a cheap alternative to bread to serve with vegetable beef soup tonight, I made this up and call it Recession Foccacia! I used Bisquick and used the recipe for biscuits. 2 1/2 c. bisquick and 2/3 c. milk. I added some seasonings like pizza spices and garlic powder. I rolled it flat after kneading, and sprinkled it with a parmasean/romano cheese combo on top.
I heated my big George Foreman grill to 450 degrees and plopped it on! I only pressed it down slightly and cooked for seven minutes. I was able to cut it into 8 nicely-sized rectangles. It was perfectly done and delicious! The family is asking for more. :-) Happy penny-pinching!
